
Susan Cottle lives and works in New York City. She received her MFA cum laude from the New
York Academy of Art and her BFA from Montserrat College of Art, in her hometown, Beverly,
Massachusetts. She has exhibited in New York, New England and abroad. Recent exhibitions
include a one-person exhibition at St. John's University, and a two-person exhibition at
Synagogue for the Arts. Recent group shows include The Painting Center, Island Weiss Gallery,
Dacia Gallery and Windham Fine Arts. In August, 2010, Susan was a Resident Artist in The
Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona. She has painted extensively in Italy where she has taught
in several study abroad programs, including Studio Art Centers, International, Florence, Italy, St.
John's University, Rome, and Montserrat College of Art, Viterbo. Susan has organized and taught
a semi-annual plein air workshop in Pinzolo, Italy, offered through the 92nd Street YM-YWHA.
Susan has taught at St. John's University, The New York Academy of Art, and is currently
Part-Time Assistant Professor of Art at Parsons and New School University.
